• Structural Design

  Hi-Spec are actively involved in all elements of structural design, from new builds to walkways, stairs, canopies masts etc, to British Standards and Eurocodes.

  We conduct our own structural calculations using advanced structural design software, this allows complex structures to be modelled and rigorously examined to find the most suitable and efficient design. By conducting structural calculations in-house it allows an easy translation from design to working drawings.

• Mechanical Design

  Hi-Spec can offer bespoke fabrication designs, FEA analysis, machining details and process design.

  We are always open to new design challenges so if you have a project that requires additional design input, calcs, draughting or even just discussion with an experienced engineer we would be happy to offer a consultation.

• Project Management

  Our overall understanding and design involvement in projects makes our team ideally placed to project manage site works.

  This site presence gives clients (on all tiers) an experienced point of contact and gives valuable backup to site installation teams. We have recently managed a project in the centre of London with a contract value of 1.5 million pounds, completed on time and to budget.

• Surveying

  Hi-Spec Engineering are able to offer a surveying service as part of a project package or as an individual service tailored to the needs of the client.

  If required, existing structures can be surveyed to ensure precise interfacing, eliminating the need to make site modifications. We can also provide Topographical surveys transcribed to the required format.

• Civil Design

  Hi-Spec Engineering can provide the full design package including civils such as foundations, slabs, retaining walls, Pads and Lintels.

  We can offer civil design for many applications either by design software or long-hand calculations as part of our package. Detailed set-out drawings for site teams are provided as well as re-bar specifications and fabrication details.

• Draughting

  Our experience in the manufacturing industry enables Hi-Spec Engineering to fully appreciate the need for clear and accurate drawings.

  We cover all types of 2D and 3D mechanical, structural and civil drawings including laser profiles. All drawings are compliant with BS8888. 3D models of structural steelwork can be produced using our state of the art design software, this allows easy visualisation of the structure and material and bolt lists to be quickly produced.

• Building Applications

  Our project management and wide engineering experience makes us a good, cost effective choice for designing and overseeing new builds, rennovations and extensions.

  We can design buildings and sites to current building regulations, from the laying out of services and drainage to satisfying modern demands for iSBEM energy efficiency. This can include application to and liason with County Councils.
